We can say that 2016 is a successful year for Apple. Back to September, Apple released its flagships of the year which are iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The two beasts are well-received by users all over the world. Next year, 2017 will be the tenth years anniversary since the birth of first generation of iPhones. Therefore, it is expected that the upcoming iPhone would include innovative features. Recently, there is other news leaked in China about the upcoming iPhone. And today, we’d like to tell you about it.
So far, Apple has equipped iPhones with IPS panel. In addition, iPhones are single SIM handsets. However, Apple might take a step forward in display department with the upcoming Apple iPhone 8 or 7S. It is high possibility that the phone will pack OLED display. Moreover, the physical home button will be excluded. It is also suggested that the upcoming phone would come with dual SIM slots. Though, the dual SIM slots feature will be available exclusively in Chinese market.
The news showed up on Weibo. However, it is not the official news. Yet, the news is quite reliable to some extent. Because Apple already filed two domestic patents back in October which are about dual SIM technology. To be specific, the Patent number 2016101166075 is about SIM selection. While the other patent number 2016100813788 is about how much energy will this dual SIM technology consume. The two patents were accepted on February 5th and March 2nd 2016. So users might wonder what’s is new about Apple dual-SIM technology that will make it different from other manufacturers.
