This is a horror survivor game, with the “run and hide” mechanic, which is really popular as of late. With the classic Asian horror, with the right amount of creepy and uneasy, plus multiple endings, you will want to replay this game a lot (if you can, that is!).

You will be an average, typical white collar worker, who happens to stay in the office at then very late hours of the night. Strange things happen, and you will have to explore and look for clues to discover what haunts the office and why.

This game is a first person walking simulator/horror/survivor. An old, abandoned house, with stories of inexplicable missing surround it. It sounds familiar and creepy, right? You will take the role of a gutsy (or foolish) explorer, who will have to uncover the secrets of those dark hallways, with only the flashlight! 4. Mental Hospital IV ($1.99 – iOS | $0.99 – Android [free demo])

A dark and screechy asylum is a classic cliche for horror games, yet it is still not less creepy. This game continues from the previous 3’s story, with great textures, details, and of course, quite the horror! 5. Sinister Edge (free – Android)

A first person adventure/puzzle/horror on this list of best mobile horror games, you can even play this game on your VR set. If your heart can take horror in 3D, you must try this game. It looks beautiful, immersive, and free to play. You can also punish guests nagging you about trying that new VR set by showing them this!

6. Red Woods ($0.99 – Android [free demo])

Next on the best mobile horror games list is Red Woods – a tangled first person mystery. You will jump between 2 characters during the game. First is Claire Mills, a young student who were in a car crash, only woke up to find herself in an abandoned facility.The other character is her father, who is trying to find Claire.

7. Lost Within ($3.99 – iOS)

Lost Within is a tense and thrilling adventure game with stealth elements, and it is beautifully done. It has a gripping story, a good amount of jump scares and sweaty tight spots. You will make your scared as hell. this game is definitely one of the best mobile horror games ever.

8. Knock-Knock ($2.99 – iOS | $2.20 – Android)

You may wonder why this game is on this list of best mobile horror games at all. To be honest, Knock-Knock is not really scary, but this 2D game is totally creepy, artsy, and a thrill to play. You will be a weird “lodger” fellow, trying to keep lodge together by finding clues and repairing any damages the “evil forces” did to your place.

9. Home – A Unique Horror Adventure ($2.99 – iOS)

What? A pixel art-style game is on this list of best horror mobile games? Nah, it won’t be scary, they’re pixels! Well, if you think like that, you may want to think again after playing Home. You can only see a limited area around the character, lighted by the lantern-like flashlight. Every decision you make affects the narrative and the ending too. So there are a lot of replay values. It’s a unique side-scrolling adventure you’ll never forget.

10. Year Walk ($3.99 – iOS)

Another game on this list of best mobile horror games that is not really scare-inducing, but rather artsy, puzzle, walking simulator game with a melancholic one type of game. As per an old Swedish ritual, you take a walk through the woods, look for some spirits. These spirits would tell you the future. And beware, some things are better left unknown!

11. Forgotten Memories: Alternate Realities ($5.99 – iOS)

Old fans of the classic Silent Hills and Resident Evil will be sure to love this game, an homage to those 2 which defines the horror genre. A jarring view and not-so-great control,  lots of backtracking to save puzzles, and limited saves – meaning death by monsters will really “haunt” you! It’s a great horror game on the iOS and deserves to be on this list of best mobile horror games.

12. Fran Bow ($1.99/chapter | iOS and Android)

A 5-chapter story with the unfortunate girl named Fran. After her parents’ death, she ended up in an asylum mysteriously. You’ll help her on a creepy adventure to escape the asylum, find her lost cat, and get home to her aunt. Last game on this list of best mobile horror games.
