After being spotted on Antutu as well as Geekbench, Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) is now official. This phone has just been launched in Korea. So, let’s have a look closer to this phone. About the design, this phone looks quite a lot to its predecessor – Galaxy A8. The 2016 version is slim and is made of metal. It comes with “Always On display” feature which allows you to see the basic info (time, date, notifications) on the lock screen.
In terms of Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) specs, it is powered by an Exynos 7420 chipset. You can see this SoC on the 2015 flagship Galaxy S6. It packs 3GB RAM paired with 32GB of inbuilt storage. The ROM amount is similar to A8 last year, but the RAM amount is larger. Galaxy A8 2015 has 2GB RAM. This new Samsung handset uses Android 6.0.1 OS out of the box with Grace UX. This feature was added on Galaxy Note 7.
Like the 2015 model, Galaxy A8 2016 version also owns a 5.7-inch AMOLED Full HD display. About the camera, the phone is equipped with a 16MP main camera and an 8MMP selfie snapper. Compared to the version last year (5MP+16MP), the 2016 model has a better front-facing camera. A8 2016 is backed up with a 3300mAh capacity. In addition, on the front, there is a fingerprint scanner which is harmonious with Samsung Pay embedded on the home button.
