Xiaomi Mi Pad 2: 7.9″ 2K screen, 6,190mAh cell and over 85K Antutu score
A few days ago, Xiaomi officially launched their new products: Redmi Note 3 and Mi Pad 2. We know a lot about the phablet, but how about the tablet? We would say it is very affordable and powerful, especially its Antutu score: over 85K.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 specs: Even better than the Galaxy Note 5?
First, let’s talk about Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 design. As you know, this is the successor to Xiaomi Mi Pad and both of them seem to be inspired by Apple iPads in terms of look. However, the original Mi Pad has a colorful plastic casing while the newer has an all-alloy construction which is much more similar to Apple iPad mini. Despite being mad of metal, the Mi Pad 2 is lighter and thinner than the first-generation, which is considered as a plus for Xiaomi tablet this time.
Spec-wise, Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 owns a 7.9-inch display with 2.048×1.536 pixels and 326ppi. The whole machine is powered by an Intel Atom X5-Z8500 quad-core 2.24GHz chip paired with 2GB of RAM and 16/64GB ROM. As for the camera, the main one is capable of 8 megapixels and the wide-angle selfie snapper is of 5 megapixels. In addition, you will find a huge 6,190mAh battery to run the tablet, which also means you can have a whopping 648.8 hours of standby time. Amazing?
Interestingly, recently, Mi Pad 2 has been spotted on Antutu benchmark, scoring up to 85,101 points. The score is actually more than that of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in spite of sporting only 2GB RAM. Anyhow, we can understand since it has high display resolution, big batt and fast processor speed.
