Obviously, Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has a bigger screen with better display solution than Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime (5.5-inch Full HD vs 4.7-inch HD, respectively). It can be due to the typical features of the sub-brands they belong to. If you want a phablet, Redmi Note 2 will be a more suitable choice. On the contrary, you just want a smaller one to put in your pocket, you would like the Redmi 2 Prime.

About processors, they totally sport different chips: one is of the MediaTek and the other is of the Snapdragon. However, the advantage goes to Redmi Note 2 thanks to its octa-core and 2.0+GHz speed, which will make the phone run better. Besides, the battery of Redmi Note is also much larger than that of Redmi 2 Prime (3,060mAh vs 2,200mAh). And as for the camera, with the combo of a 13MP rear and 5MP front snapper, Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 does beat the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime’s combo of an 8MP and 2MP shooter.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has been appeared here with Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 price in Malaysia of around RM950 while Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime has still not been available on our market. Anyhow, because of a more advanced package of specs, the Note 2 has a higher price than its competitor today. Yet, if Redmi 2 Prime is sold in our country, it can become a strong rival among the affordable devices nowadays.
