1. Samsung Galaxy Note 8: best selling smartphone premium

In the Flagship Phones category, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is still the best in 2017, even with the release of the new Apple iPhone X.  Released in April of 2017, it blew away the market and it’s still one of the fastest phones available on the market. It has a great combination of beautiful design – with its edgeless 6.3 inch display – and great specs. Really, it’s quite simply the best phone on the market. The OnePlus 5T is not quite the “flagship killer” that the company has been known for in its previous phones, but it does sport a design that has clearly evolved since the first members of the OnePlus line, and it is an affordable flagship that delivers the goods! It is a fast phone, with an option between a 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage combo, or a 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage combo. It also runs thanks to a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 processor and Android 7.1. It also has pretty good cameras, with both of them at 16MP. This phone presents an excellent package for affordability, and it starts at $479.

6. Apple iPhone 8 Plus

The Apple iPhone 8 Plus may not be as new and fast as the new iPhone X, but it’s still a great choice for Apple fans: it’s basically the best ‘normal’ iPhone available at the moment, and has a stunning all glass design. It was released in September of 2017, and all the specs are slightly lower than the iPhone X’s, with the same 3GB of RAM, and a 5.5 inch screen instead of a 5.8 inch display. However its cameras are both on similar levels (12MP + 12MP dual primary camera and 7MP selfie camera). All of this of course means the iPhone 8 Plus also comes in at a much lower price, at around $799.

In our opinion, this is Sony’s best smartphone of the year! Released early in 2017 in February, it comes with a really great look and design. It sports a 5.5 inch display, which is capable of displaying images with resolution up to Ultra HD (4K), the highest resolution in the world of smartphones today! It also has a great battery, with a capacity of 3230 mAh, one of the largest ever sported by a Sony smartphone. It also comes with a 845 octa-core Snapdragon 2.45 GHz chipset, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal memory (supported by a microSD card slot), a 19 MP main camera, a 13 MP selfie camera, and a fingerprint scanner. This comes in at around $699.

8. Google Pixel 2 XL

Google has decided to expand this year on their Google Pixel series, which was first released last year. This is only the second iteration of the phone, but already we can see how much Google’s software and hardware have both drastically evolved in the past year. This device has a larger 6 inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It also has a beautiful design, and runs on the 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 CPU – Octa-core, with 4GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage. It also has a great battery with a 3,520 mAh battery. Cameras are a 12.2 MP main camera and a 8MP camera for selfies. This was first released with a $850 price tag.

One of the later releases of the year, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro came out in November of 2017. It comes with a beautiful and stunning 6 inch AMOLED screen, with really slim bezels! The aspect ratio is 18:9, and it does have a water tight body. This beast of a device runs on a 10nm Kirin 970 chipset, octa-core processor, with the help of a massive 6GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage. It also has an amazing main camera with Leica branding, with a 12MP + 20MP camera, and a 8MP selfie camera. It also has a huge 4,000mAh battery, with Fast Charging. It comes in at around $949.

10. Samsung Galaxy S8

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is considered by many to be the most beautiful smartphone to have arrived on the market in 2017. Some also prefer the Samsung Galaxy S8’s camera performance in low light to that of the Apple iPhone range of cameras. It’s completely waterproof, and has a Exynos 8895 Octa processor, as well as 4GB of ram and 64GB of internal storage. It also has a 5.8 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, with a 12MP and an 8MP cameras. All of this for around $750.
