5 Best smartphone cameras September 2017 update: 6GB RAM, Dual 12MP cam
Taking photos with a smartphone has always been a thing. And it has become the name of the game for the industry in 2017. Therefore, today we give you five best smartphone cameras up until September 2017.
1. Samsung Galaxy Note 8
This should not come as a surprise anymore, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is the best Android phone for now. It features the Qualcomm 835 Snapdragon chipset to run an octa-cores CPU. Along with that are 6GB RAM and three storage options: 64, 128 or 256GB. Covering that hardware is a 6.3-inch display that renders at 1440 x 2960 pixels.
Not just displaying sharp images, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Camera is also capable of capturing them. The device has a dual 12MP primary camera and 8MP selfie cam. Some smartphones feature bigger number than this but the Note 8 still ended up the best camera phone thanks to a dedicated software. It allows you to customize and configure the camera just like a professional one. So calling the Note 8 camera a smartphone cam is an understatement. Because it is on the level of low-end DSLR.
2. Apple iPhone 7 Plus
For the moment, Apple loses its spotlight to its iconic rival, Samsung. However, that doesn’t mean the iPhone 7 plus is not right behind. Apple iPhone 7 plus specs can be considered sub par amongst other flagship. But the real power of the device comes from the iOS operating system. The camera, however, is a match to the Note 8 since with a dual 12MP rear shooter. With a better software support, it can really be the iconic rival of Android cameras. The iPhone 8 release is close so we can always hope for the best.
3. Google Pixel
If you like the Android OS and prefer a pure Android experience this phone might suit you. The Google Pixel features a 5-inches AMOLED screen that comes in full HD resolution (1080 x 1920 pixels). On the inside, there is a Snapdragon 821 chipset, 4GB RAM and two storage option of either 32GB or 128GB. The device camera sports 12.3MP with f/2.0 aperture on the main camera and 8MP selfie cam with f/2.4 aperture.
4. Huawei P9
This device is amongst the first smartphones to implement dual cameras. It features two 12MP sensors on the primary shooter and 8MP on the frontal one. Even for an old device, it still has some pretty good specs. First, there is a 5.2-inch full HD display protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3, the HiSilicon Kirin 955 chipset running an octa-core CPU and 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM. The Huawei P9 battery can hold 3000 mAh once fully charged.
5. Sony Xperia X
There seems to be a question asked when this phone was still on the drawing board: “who needs two cameras when you can have one camera with huge resolution”. That question is the perfect description of the Sony Xperia X camera. The rear snapper measures a massive 23MP while the front camera shows a 16MP resolution. So even for an almost two years old phone, the Xperia X still pack very high resolution in its camera.
