OnePlus 6 – The first water-resistant phone of the company

Not long after confirming some significant details about the OnePlus 6, today the company revealed another thing about its upcoming flagship phone. More precisely, OnePlus indirectly confirm on Twitter that the new OnePlus handset is going to have water-resistant feature. (Click here to watch the teaser). According to the sneak peek above, OnePlus knows that customers “hate it” when they can’t use a phone because it’s raining. The folks at OnePlus say they hate this, too, and that also means their latest product is likely to be water-resistant.

Until now, OnePlus didn’t add this feature to any of its smartphones. So the OnePlus 6 will become the company’s very first handset to have protection in this regard. It appears that OnePlus has finally listened to its customers with the new smartphone. Whether the OnePlus 6 will have an IP67 or IP68 rating for water resistance, we can only wait until the launch event to see. Furthermore, in an advertisement shown in many India cinemas, it reveals that the OnePlus6 will be an Amazon-exclusive smartphone.

However, the OnePlus6 will eventually make its way to offline stores like the OnePlus 5, and OnePlus 5T did previously. If rumours of a Special Edition Avengers OnePlus 6 are correct, then the smartphone will launch before the 27th of April – global release date of Avengers: Infinity War.
