The fastest Deca-core processor: MediaTek Helio X30 Exposure
MediaTek plans to release another model of processor next year: MediaTek Helio X30 Exposure. This is really exciting, because the new model is going to be the fastest Deca-core processor in the market!
A much improved successor of Helio X25
MediaTek plans to launch a new model of Deca-core processor – the MediaTek Helio X30 Exposure – in 2017. The Chinese processor manufacturer had some information leaks, from which we learnt a thing or two about the successor of Helio X25. The processor will be made using 10 nanometer (10 nm) manufacturing process. This is actually good news, because the current technological high point is only at 14 nm (as seen with Snapdragon 820).
According to the information leaks, the number of cores might be the same (10 cores!), while the number of frequency can be different. Furthermore, the system on chip (SoC) is said to have the cores organized in the same way as in the previous Helio X25: a Tri-cluster arrangement. The Chinese company also plans to use to a PowerVR 7XT quad-core GPU, which is also the model used in our today’s Apple iPhone 6.
The information leaks also let us know that the company might also produce an overclocked model of the processor under the name of Helio X35. This version will also be using 10 nm manufacturing process, and it might have a higher frequency. Although higher GHz might also mean larger power consumption and, thus, produces more heat.
MediaTek Helio X30: a processor to look forward to!
With the information leaks, we can be sure that MediaTek will have better models of Deca-core processors to give us. However, we also hope that the new Helio X30 model will not have heating problems like in the Helio X10 and Helio X20. Let us know what you think about the new Helio X30 model. We will update you as we get more details of MediaTek Helio X30!
