Google Pixel XL spotted on Geekbench: 4GB RAM and Android Nougat!
Google Pixel XL has just appeared on Geekbench with wonderful hardware and software. Let’s take a look to see what this phone offers as well as its expected release date!
Google Pixel XL: 4GB RAM and Android 7 Nougat
The first thing we can infer from this leak is that Google has put an end to the Nexus series. Google Pixel XL will be the first device of the upcoming Pixel smartphone series from this giant. Based on what we can see from the leak, the new Google phone will come with a 4GB RAM. Besides, it will pack a quad-core processor which is clocked at 1.59GHz.
The name of the CPU has not been revealed. According to previous leaks, Google Pixel XL will pack either a Snapdragon 820 or Snapdragon 821 chipset. However, the clock speed revealed on Geekbench doesn’t seem to belong to any of the chipsets. In fact, it is much slower than what SND 820 and SND 821 offer. Let’s hope that this clock speed is only from the slower one of the two dual-core processors in the setup.
One more thing that will be a highlight of this new Google phone is the OS. This phone is revealed to be running Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. Too bad it’s not the first device to run the latest OS from Google (it’s LG V20 instead), but sharing the same manufacturer with Android OS will be a huge advantage for this phone in receiving upcoming updates. As for the display, there are reports that Google Pixel XL will pack a 5.5-inch screen, while the smaller one – Google Pixel, will arrive with a 5.0-inch one.
Google Pixel XL: Availability
So far the battery and the camera of Google phone have not been spotted on any benchmarks. Those specs above are the most likely to be official in the future. However, everything will be confirmed on 4th October, which is reported to be the Google Pixel XL launch date. So let’s count down and wait for the next smartphone from this giant!
