HTC U11 vs. HTC U Ultra, two phones from the same manufacturer, they look almost the same if you are not paying attention. However, do the similarities extend other aspects? Let’s take a closer look to see if there is any difference.
HTC U11 vs. HTC U Ultra specs comparison
First off, let’s look at the display. The U11 features a 5.5-inch screen with QUAD HD resolution (1440 x 2560 pixels) while the U Ultra has a 5.7-inch display, also comes with QUAD HD resolution. Both devices have the Super LCD5 capacitive touchscreen type that is capable of displaying 16 million colors. So unless you count the 0.2-inch difference in the diagonal measurement of the screen, there is no other difference. And unless you get a ruler to take the measurement, 0.2 inch isn’t even visible.
Screen aside, let’s look at the inside of the devices. The HTC U Ultra RAM sports 4GB with 64GB and 128GB storage option. The U11 has a 4GB/ 64GB and a6GB/1218GB memory option. Both device use Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The difference is the U Ultra got model 821 while the U11 got model 835. So about hardware, we are starting to see that the U11 is the better one although not by a large margin.
On camera, the HTC U11 carries a 12MP camera on the rear and 16MP front camera. The HTC U Ultra Camera got the same setup. And when you look at the batteries, they are both a non-removable, 3000 mAH Li-Ion cell.

The U11 seems to be the better one but only by a small margin in hardware. The device is available to buy at EUR 700 (~Rm 3540). The U Ultra is also available, only at EUR 500 (~Rm 2530). So in the end, we can treat the HTC U Ultra as a different processor option of the U11 at a lower price, kind of like a lite version.
