According to a new report from Korea, Huawei has placed orders for 6.9″ AMOLED panels with Samsung Display. As we expect, the screen would be applied for the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 display. Keep on reading for more details!

Huawei Mate 20 display uses massive 6.9-inch Samsung AMOLED screen

Based on the timing revealed, we think about the upcoming Mate 20 since members of this family have traditionally been launched around then. As far as it concerns, the panels in question will be flat, not curved. If the source is legit that the Mate 20 does end up sporting a 6.9″ display, it will easily win the screen size battle between high-end flagships. Until now, Samsung’s Galaxy Note9 is said to go with a 6.38″, and Apple’s next iPhone will have a 6.46″.

According to our sources, Huawei’s reasoning for such a shocking move apparently has to do with its home market. In details, it is currently the leading brand and it wants that status quo to continue. Moreover, Chinese consumers prefer bigger screens on smartphones than people elsewhere. Whereas, Apple’s 6.46″ iPhone coming later this year has also been developed with the Chinese in mind.

Regarding Huawei Mate 20 specs, the handset sports a 6-inch AMOLED display with QHD resolutions of 2560 x 1440 pixels and 18:9 ratio. Under the hood, the Huawei beast sports HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset, alongside 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB ROM (expand to 512GB). Notably, the Huawei Mate 20 camera shares a three horizontally cameras with main lenses of 40MP+12MP (wide-angle)+12MP(Monochrome) and an extra 12MP lens housed right under. Meanwhile, there is another 20MP selfie snapper up front, alongside Android Oreo and a 4200mAh battery box.
