Huawei has officially announced its entry into the new wave of sub-flagship phones with the upcoming Nova 12 series. Based on the news, the new smartphones will not only focus on delivering a neat design and bold look but also bring decent specifications for an attractive price. According to many rumors, the Huawei Nova 12 series will likely flaunt four models, including a standard Huawei Nova 12, a vitality version, a Pro, and an Ultra phone. In addition, another tipster cited that all models have some unique surprises for their users.

Generally, the Huawei Nova 12 series specs flaunt a 7.7-inch HD+ curved display shielded by 2nd-generation Kunlun glass. Under the hood, the baseline Nova and the Lite could arrive with a Kirin 830 chipset, while the Pro and Ultra may launch with the flagship Kirin 9000s chip. As for the platform, all phones could run on HarmonyOS 4.0. Besides, the first two variants may appear with 4G capabilities, whereas the other two are hearsay to adopt 5G functions. Moreover, the series might ship with 8GB RAM and 128/256/512GB ROM. 

What about the Huawei Nova 12 series camera department? It is said that the vanilla Nova 12 camera setup will include an “adjustable (f/1.4-f/4.0) physical aperture” 50MP camera, two backup lenses, and a flash. There is a single 60MP front-facing for selfies. Especially, the main camera is equipped with two yellow-pixel sensors instead of green, which can help minimize the light loss issues and boost the light input significantly by 40%. Other versions may sport the same setup but with the added feature of a variable aperture. Notably, the Ultra supposedly also has satellite communication support, making it an exclusive feature in the series. The Huawei Nova 12 series release date will be December 26 at 2:30 PM Beijing time. On the other hand, the Huawei Nova 12 price may start around 2,999 yuan ($420 ~ Rs. 34,942).
