After introducing the entry-level Enjoy 70 back in December, Huawei is now launching the phone in overseas markets under a new name – Huawei nova Y72. The device appeared on the company website in South Africa with the same design, marketing visuals, and even the dedicated X Button for quick app access. In the meantime, the Realme 12 Pro+ was unveiled in India on Monday, January 29. Now, let’s start the battle! Concerning the display, the Huawei nova Y72 specs bring a 6.75-inch TFT LCD with 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. 

By the way, it sports about 84.1% screen-to-body ratio. On the other hand, the Realme 12 Pro+ specs flaunt a slightly smaller 6.7-inch AMOLED with a much higher resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels. Also, it has about 90.4% screen-to-body ratio. Hence, the Realme 12 Pro+ takes the lead with a better display. Under the hood, the Huawei phone employs the Kirin 710A chipset. Moreover, the phone runs HarmonyOS 4 in China, but the global version will likely switch to EMUI. Conversely, the Realme handset runs on Realme UI 5.0 custom skin.

Also, it works on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. Regarding memory, the Huawei device offers 128GB/8GB RAM (up to 256GB via SIM slot). In contrast, the Realme gadget comes with up to 12GB of RAM. With the Dynamic RAM feature, available memory can be expandable up to 24GB. Therefore, the Realme phone wins this round with a larger storage capacity. Optic-wise, the Huawei nova Y72 camera sports a dual camera setup. It comprises a 50MP main cam at the back alongside a 2MP auxiliary shooter. Besides, there is an 8MP front lens for selfies. On the contrary, the Realme 12 Pro+ camera has a triple-sensor setup. It consists of a 50MP + 64MP + 8MP. Around the front is a 32MP selfie shooter. For battery, the nova Y72 features a 6000 mAh battery supporting 22.5W wired charging. Contrariwise, the Realme handset packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 67W SuperVOOC charging.

The Huawei nova Y72 release date will happen in the near future. It may be in February, 2024. Besides, the Realme 12 Pro+ was unveiled in India on Monday, January 29. As for the cost, the Huawei nova Y72 price is about $265 ~ Rs. 22,032. On the other hand, the Realme 12 Pro+ price has been set at $360 ~ Rs. 29,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.
