Chipset rating board: Apple A9X is the winner

As we already know that in order to keep a smartphone performing properly, in addition to operating system, GPU and memory, the processor is also play an important role. At present, we have hundreds of chipsets of all kinds and brands. Since different manufacturers uses different chipset technology, each chipset from different manufacturers has its own characteristics as well as advantages. Likewise smartphones market, processors market is also competitive and heated each day.

Recently, a report showing the rating list of SoCs has been spotted in China. According to the report, Apple A9X chipset is still the most powerful one in the market. The reason is said to be due to the powerful 12-core GPU. However, as regard to GeekBench, A9X processor is not as powerful as A10 unit which is quad-core CPU. Yet, GeekBench suggests that the GPU of A9x is more powerful than that of the A10.

For Android handsets, there are many popular processors from reputed brands such as Snapdragon of Qualcomm, Kirin of Huawei, Exynos Samsung, etc. Recently, Samsung and Qualcomm is cooperating producing Snapdragon 835. The Snapdragon 835 processor will be manufactured using cutting edge 10-nanometer FinFET process which will be more powerful than the Snapdragon 820 and 821 models. One of the big advantages of the process is enhancing the power efficiency as well as performance over the current 14nm FinFET technology. Meanwhile, Kirin 960 is the latest SoC of Huawei now.
