Lenovo P70 unboxing: huge 4,000mAh battery and impressive performance
We all know that Philips is famous for manufacturing phones with huge battery capacity. Now, Lenovo has entered this potential market with some “long-lasting battery life” devices. From the S860 or the P780 to the newly-launched P70, those all have 4,000 mAh battery capacity.
Compared to previous “long-lasting battery life” models, Lenovo P70 is just a newbie of the race. It features a 5-inch IPS display with resolution of 1080×720 and density of 294 ppi. The phone is powered by a 1,7 GHz 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 SoC along with Mali T760-MP2 700 MHz GPU for graphic. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). A 13MP camera sticks to the front of the handset while a 5MP front-facing camera is on the back. It supports dual SIM with dual stand-by and 4G LTE. The device runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat pre-installed.

Out of the box, we can see a lot accessories enclosed. Apart from familiar ones, the company gives an OTG cable as well.
Unlike the rough appearance of other “long-lasting battery life” devices from Lenovo, the P70 has got a flashy look, though.
The 5-inch 720p IPS screen delivers higher-quality display in comparison with Lenovo S90.
The back is a plastic panel. Looking at it, you will see a 13MP camera, a flash light and Lenovo logo. All are arranged neatly and nicely.
Ripping the back off, there you have the 4,000 mAh battery with the words: “Don’t remove the battery” and SIM card slots.
Besides the astonishing battery capacity, the phone is also equipped with powerful technology. With Ultimate Power Saver Mode, energy consumption on this device is lessened.
Having shipped with powerful inners, it have a humble outside of 142×71.8×8.9 mm and weighs 149g.
A 3.5 mm jack is located on the top of the phone.
Speaker is splited into 2 parts and placed both sides of the micro-USB port at the bottom edge of the device. The purpose for splitting to make it look symmetric.
Power and volume buttons are on the right side of the device for better experience.
The phone is priced at around RM 800 in Malaysia.
