Meizu MX4 LTE targeting Xiaomi Mi4 with 320USD price
Meizu MX4 LTE targeting Xiaomi Mi4 with 320USD price
Xiaomi is not the only Chinese brand with affordable FlagShip killer Smartphones. Meizu is about to launch the Meizu MX4 in the beginning of September at the same price as Xiaomi Mi4. The Meizu MX4 will be priced at 1999 Yuan thats ca RM1040. The Xiaomi Mi4 is still only available via Import here in Malaysia.
The Meizu MX4 is directly competing with Xiaomi’s Flagship Mi4 in specs, hardware and pricing. The MX4 will come with a 5.5 inch display with a 2K 2560 x 1536 resolution. With this impressive resolution the Meizu MX4 display is even slightly better then the LG G3 display at 2560 x 1440. Also with 543 ppi they have a higher pixel density then the LG G3 at 435ppi. This is definitely an impressive 2K 5.5 inch display on the Meizu MX4!
Newest Rumors about the Meizu Mx4 even suggest that the device will come with an Sony 20.7 mega-pixel Rear Camera. The current Meizu MX3 comes with an 8MP Sony Rear Camera. This would definitely be a very impressive update.
For the Rest of the MX4 Flagship Specs we hear 3GB of RAM, Samsung Exynos Procssor, 8MP Front Camera, Fingerprint Scanner and Meizu newest OS Flyme 4.0.
Earlier this year Meizu also announced that they will launch the Meizu MX4 in two variants. One would be the Flagship Killer described above and the other one would probably come with 5inch 1080p display, instead of 2K resolution. This One might be even cheaper. In any case the MX4 will be roughly the same pricing as Xiaomi Mi4 and One PLus One.
Same as the Mi4 the Meizu MX4 will come with LTE Connectivity. Probably in the first launch version only for chinese LTE Bands. Meizu already announced though that they want to launch the MX4 phone and other meizu phones in USA this year.
Since Malaysia is a very attractive market we might see the Meizu MX4 launch officially here also. In any Case it will be available through importers here very fast.
The Meizu MX4 is definitely directly targeted at the Xiaomi MI4 and One Plus One. And Meizu might just succeded with that strategy. While Meizu is not very famous yet in Malaysia the Meizu MX3 is a very good smartphone that does not need to hide.
We believe more choice and more competition is always good for the customers in the end.
What do you think can the Meizu MX4 beat the Xiaomi Mi4? Would you buy one at same pricing here in Malaysia? What do you think about the increasing competiton of Chinese Smartphone Makers?
