New Xiaomi Mi Note 2 variant spotted on TENAA
The popular Chinese phone Xiaomi seems to work on a new variant of its Mi Note 2 which was launched in October 2016. In terms of its specs, the existing Mi Note 2 delivers a 5.7-inch display with the resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Under the hood, there is a quad-core Snapdraon 821 (2 x 2.35GHz + 2 x 1.6GHz) and a non-removable powerful 4070mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The phone comes in two variants: one with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, the other with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM.
Other features offera stunning 22.5MP f/2.0 camera on the back, while the front camera is 8MP f/2.0 and the phone also has a fingerprint scanner mounted on the front and supports USB Type-C. Luckily enough, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 still has a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone will run on the latest Android 7.0 version with MIUI 8.0 and is available in 3 beautiful color options: Black, Gold and Silver.
Now, a new version of this phone appeared on TENAA, the Chinese telecommunications regulatory authority under the model number “2015212”. We expect this phone to be a new version of the existing Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because its 4GB and 6GB RAM variants are listed as 2015211 and 2015213, very similar to the upcoming model. According to the TENAA listing, the new Mi Note 2 variant is going to feature a large 5.7-inch display, a 4070mAh battery and measures 156.2×77.2×7.6 mm. All these specs are identical with the existing Mi Note 2, but it is expected to come with lower RAM and OLED display.
