Obi Worldphone SF1 and SJ1.5: 13MP and 3,000mAh for under RM840

John Sculley, a Apple’s former CEO, together with Robert Brunner, a designer, has recently introduced 2 new budget smartphones named Obi Worldphone SF1 and SJ1.5. Though they are announced by a former Apple’s CEO, it does not cost an arm and a leg. In fact, it is quite affordable with an amazingly good package of specs. Specifically, with less than $200 (RM837) for Obi Worldphone SF1 and SJ1.5, this is a very good deal for users.

Starting at $199 (RM833 as Obi Worldphone SF1 price in Malaysia), it features a 5” Full HD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Other Obi Worldphone SF1 specs include 2/3GB RAM, 16/32GB ROM (expandable), and an octa core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chip. As for the camera, there are a nice 13MP one with LED flash and a 5MP front snapper, much higher than Apple iPhone 6. The whole handset is powered by a 3,000mAh and we think that’s kind of generous enough.

Meanwhile, Obi Worldphone SJ1.5 is the cheaper of the two when costing just $129 (RM540). It comes with a 5” HD screen and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Besides, Obi Worldphone SJ1.5 sports 1GB RAM, 16GB ROM and a Mediatek MTK MT6580 quad-core 1.3GHz chipset. The rear camera is less powerful as the first one since it is only capable of 8 megapixels, but the selfie is remained with 5 megapixels, and even the battery capacity is also the same.

In terms of design, we will not talk much because pictures will do that for us. Let’s have a look at the following Obi Worldphone SJ1.5 hands-on pics. For Obi Worldphone SF1, we will update the images later 😉 .
