This year, we already know that there are a lot of flagships launching in the market. Earlier, we already have the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ duo, and later this year is the new iPhone. In between the two giants is OnePlus, whose previous smartphone managed to top AnTuTu chart for half of 2016 based on performance. This year, the new flagship of the company, OnePlus 5, is the one everyone anticipates. Finally, the OnePlus 5 official trailer came along with the official announcement!
Similar to what reports have shown, OnePlus 5 specs feature top-of-the-line hardware in the market. Under the hood, the phone features the new Qualcomm SND 835 processor, paired with either 6 or 8GB RAM! This phone has a high processing power. It also has 64/128GB of fast UFS 2.1 storage – unfortunately, non-expandable. Its battery capacity is also adequate, at 3300mAh. That is enough to keep using the phone for a whole day. You can also get a full day of use with 30 minutes of charging thanks to OnePlus’ Dash Charge technology. You can see the OnePlus 5 official trailer below!
Design-wise, the new OnePlus flagship looks very similar to iPhone 7 Plus. It has a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display with Full HD resolution. Like the iPhone 7 Plus, the OnePlus phone also sports a dual rear camera setup. It has two rear lenses of 20 and 16MP, with features like optical zoom, Portrait Mode, and OnePlus’ autofocus known as “Fast AF,” which the company said is 40% faster. Finally, the phone runs the newest Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS.
