Samsung Galaxy S9 beast: modular design, SND 845, 8GB RAM
It’s pretty hard to keep a secret when you are the world’s biggest electronics corporate. The newest addition to the S line just shipped in April. And now rumors have already begun to fly about the Samsung Galaxy S9 specs.
Samsung Galaxy S9 specs: high expectation.
The success of Essential PH-1 must have sparked some discussion within Samsung’s R&D team. The latest rumor has it that the next addition to the S line will have a modular design. That means you will be able to put some attachment on the device like the Moto Mods. If this rumor holds true, then there is a lot more to get excited about. Not just from the Samsung Galaxy S9 specs. With the help of attachments, we may even dream that the sky is the limit to what the Galaxy S9 can do.
About hardware, we have rumors that are much more solid. First, there is a report about Samsung hoarding all the next Qualcomm flagship chip, the Snapdragon 845. A strategic move to keep Samsung’s competitors from getting the chip early. For us consumers, it could very well mean that whatever device Samsung is building next, it is sure to have the Snapdragon 845 chipset. How much it is better than its predecessor will be the question for until the formal release of the chip.
As for the other specs, we could expect them to be at least as good as the Galaxy S8 plus specs. It’s just waste of marketing money to release an upgraded product that is not very much … upgraded. However, some devices have featured 8GB RAM already. So it is likely to happen that from now Samsung’s flagships are going to have 8GB RAM to compete not only against other smartphone but even against some low-end laptops.
Samsung Galaxy announcement: still too early
Right now, the Galaxy Note 8 debut event has not even started yet. Therefore, you can be sure that it’s not going to be anytime soon, at least not in 2017.
