1. Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016)

The first best removable phone comes from the Korean giant. In terms of Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) specs, it boasts a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution. So that’s about Samsung Galaxy Note 7 specs. As for the design, the phone will be available in various design options. Firstly, Note 7 will have a new color called “Blue coral”. This 3D render of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is suggesting a glass and metal smartphone. The metallic frame sticks out and there are elegant curves on the sides. As a signature of the Galaxy Note series, the Galaxy Note 7 S Pen is also showcased. Visually, we are seeing a very slim bezels mobile that gives a premium feel. Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is said to feature a huge 6.0 inch display whose scale is more square than the narrow S7 series.

Although for now, the Galaxy Note 7 design we are looking at is just render, it does look really realistic. Not only does this 3D render manage to maintain the signature feature of a Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone, it also feels very close to an upgraded version of the Galaxy Note 5. Smartphone battery is one of buyers’ most interests. This is in the top reasons for smartphone choice. That’s why many smartphone manufacturers focus on this feature. There’ve been many companies releasing their phones with big batteries. Let’s see which brand has the most impressive battery life so far. A survey of smartphone battery life was conducted in the last three years by Phone Arena team.

As you can see from the chart, Samsung and Sony are the two highlight companies offering the best battery so far. However, Sony has the unstable frequencies due to the 6-month upgrade cycles. In the early of 2013, its average cell is just 300 minutes, but at the end of 2014, this cell is up dramatically thanks to Xperia Z3. And after that, it falls again with the Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z5, and go up again with Xperia X.

Among the three others big names: iPhone, HTC, LG and Motorola, HTC’s battery capacity seems to be the most stable with the growth rate from 350-425’. However, the company doesn’t have any breakthrough. Moto X is in the same case as it can’t pass the number 400. The big brand from the US has a battery improvement after being complained. With the average cell of 500 minutes, iPhone has even passed the Galaxy S lineup. LG can’t follow the success of LG G2. LG is on the lowest level in the top 5 big brands.

A recent report of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 comes from Munwha Ilbo, which is a local daily Newspaper in Korea. According to the report, Samsung is testing two different models for the Galaxy Note 5’s successor. One of them will be named Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Edge. The company also revealed , “Samsung is not considering launching a flat screen version of the Note phone”. So, we have a strong base that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Edge is the next curved screen phone from this company.

In another  leak, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Note is reported to pack 6.0-inch Super AMOLED screen, which is set in a massive 1440 x 2560p resolution. Especially, Galaxy Note7 Edge screen will have two curved side, more beautiful than Galaxy S7 Edge’s screen. Let’s look back Galaxy S7’s siblings such as Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge/Edge +, and of course Galaxy S7 Edge. They all look stunning with curved displays. One of them, the Galaxy S6, gets high revenue thanks to its screen design. Now, we expected Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will bring success to this Korean company.

So, it’s not easy to have a certain spot in this market at all. It’s even harder for a company to have a popular smartphone. But Xiaomi did that. According to a recent survey, Xiaomi Mi 5 is the most popular phone in China at this time. It takes the first place in the top 10 popular smartphone chart in China.

This phone has everything you want from a flagship of 2016. It is powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Mi 5 comes with 2 memory versions: 3GB RAM-32/64GB ROM and 4GB RAM – 128GB ROM. For photography, Xiaomi added a 16MP rear cam with OIS and a 4MP shooter on the front. In addition to Xiaomi Mi5 specs, the champion features a 5.15-inch Full HD with a 3000mAH battery life.

It seems like a great year for Xiaomi. Because 2 other phones of this company are also in this chart. The runner-up is Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. The big baby Mi Max comes in the 8th place. Best selling smartphones: Chinese phones rule the list

Not only in domestic market, Chinese smartphone companies also rule in the international markets like India. Huawei – one of the biggest brand in China- is a typical example. In the last few years, this Chinese company has given its best shot and become one the largest smartphone companies of the world. However, it just the 3rd largest smartphone, because the top two positions belong to Samsung and Apple. These companies lead the charge of the best selling smartphones in Q1 2016.

And recently, IC Insights- an industry tracker- has just given the report of best worldwide smartphone sales leaders in Q1 2016. And it’s not a surprise when 8 out of the 12 companies are Chinese brands. Those companies take the 3rd place to 6th position and from 8th position to 11th place. The 7th and 12sc places belong to LG (Korea) and Micromax (India). The final position in this top 12 could have gone to another Chinese manufacturer – Gionee. This company shipped 4.8 million smartphones in the 1st quarter this year, just missing 200.000 units compared to India brands – Micromax.

Next, the 4th place goes to Oppo while Xiaomi and Vivo take the 5th and 6th spot. Finally, ZTE, Lenovo, TCL, Meizu are standing in the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th position respectively. Lenovo seems like to lose its spot when its growth rate decreased 26%. In the contrast, Oppo raises to the 4th place with the growth rate increasing up to 54%. Compared to the top 12 last year, Sony, Coolpad, and Microsoft are out of the list of top 12 best selling smartphones. As they only sold 3.4 million, 4 million and 2.3 million smartphones in the Q1 of 2016.
