The runner-up is none other than the iPhone 6s Plus with the point of  85/100. This Korea device defeated the big Apple by just one point.

The winner’s sibling- Galaxy Note 4- is in the third place. At the same position is another member from Korean giant- Galaxy S6 edge +. iPhone 6s comes in fourth place with 83/100 points. It’s a tough race when Apple and Samsung are alternatively taking the top positions in the chart. However, Samsung couldn’t keep its spot in the chart of the most reliable manufacturers. The first position is taken by Apple (81/100). With one point less – 80/100, Samsung lands on the second position.

Moxi Group -a Chinese start-up- has been developing a flexible smartphone that can roll over itself. You can fasten it around your wrist and wear it like a watch or a bracelet. The screen of this smartphone was made of a graphene which is super thin, light, strong and flexible. They can create a flexible screen, but not with battery and processor. These non-flexible parts will be kept rigid by a module at the one end of the phone.

For the first flexible smartphone, the company will use an e-ink technology. That means the flexible smartphone will sport a black and white display. This feature makes the device look like a Kindle rather than a smartphone. About the flexible smartphone specs, there might be a 4GB or RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. It’s gonna have a Snapdragon processor and a 3500mAh battery life.

As for Galaxy C5 battery, you get 2600mAH non-removable battery.

When comparing with Nokia A1, it’s easy to see that Samsung galaxy C5 has bigger RAM size, a bit larger screen. The C5 also seems to be better in both rear and selfie camera. However, the Nokia C1 is said to have at least 5000 battery, much greater than the Samsung C5 battery. Samsung Galaxy C7: big brother of Galaxy C5 ?

Samsung has just presented its new smartphones: the Samsung Galaxy C5 and the Samsung Galaxy C7. Their names sound strange, right? Yup, because this is a whole new brand of Samsung: the Galaxy C series. This mid-range C lineup started with the couple C5 and C7. These two new phones own metallic unibodies. The designs of this couple are half strange half similar. The fronts of the phones still have the usual looks, while the backs have similarities with the HTC One A9. They will come in with different colors: Rose, Rose Gold, Silver, and Grey.

The Samsung Galaxy C7 specs and Samsung Galaxy C5 specs have a lot in common. They both run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Snapdragon chipsets. They have the same connectivity and I/O features, same RAM (4GB). Both come with 32GB/64GB internal storage and the ability to expand the inbuilt storage up to 128GB by microSD cards. In terms of camera, you will find a 16MP primary camera with dual-tone LED flash, and 8MP front-facing shooter on both of them. These siblings also have a home button embedded fingerprint sensor on the front.

For the other specs, the C7 seems to be a little better than the C5. The C7 is powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC with octa-core and Adreno 506 GPU. Under the hood of C5 is the Snapdragon 617 octa-core chipset with Adreno 405 GPU. The “brother” C7  features a 5.7 -inch AMOLED full HD display and 3,300mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. While the C5 has a smaller screen with 5.2-inch AMOLED display (1920 x 1080p resolution) and supports 2,600mAh battery life with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.

Samsung to top the “Global Smartphone Brands” listing in the Q1 of 2016

There is a new report from TrendForce, “a world leading market intelligence provider”, indicating Samsung’s shipments did increase last quarter and the company is still number one in the list of global smartphone market-share. Congratulations, Sammy! Besides that announcement, the report also gave specific numbers to prove it.

With the shipments in Q1 of 2016 greater than what they expected at 81 million units (also a 2.5% increase from last quarter), Samsung must be very happy. Most people said it was thanks to the earlier availability of the flagship duo Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge and the success of Samsung Galaxy J series in Asia. Well, that can be true. The S7 and S7 edge were launched in February and then started going on sale in March instead of April like their predecessors. As for the J line-up, it contains affordable smartphones with decent hardware, which can easily attract lots of consumers in general.

However, overall, the global smartphone shipments in the Q1 of 2016 are not as good as the previous quarter. Actually it is a fall of 1.3% compared to the same period in 2015 and 18.6% to the Q4 last year. One of the main reasons is market saturation (the fact that no new customers can be found).

Then, where are other big guys such as Sony, HTC, etc.?

Surely they are included in the “Others” category. Despite having already announced their own flagships like Sony Xperia X, XA, X Performance, HTC 10, etc., some of them have not been available for sale yet (in Sony’s case) and some have just debuted (HTC 10). Samsung to be working on a 18-24MP camera for their upcoming flagships

As we know, Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge come with just 12MP main shooters but they are supported by excellent dual-pixel autofocus technology that can produce very beautiful shots. Moreover, recently, Samsung Galaxy S7 edge camera has been chosen as the best in the world by DxOMark, “the trusted industry standard for camera and lens image quality measurements and ratings.” Well, we thought the same method would be applied to the upcoming Samsung models this year, but maybe not.

It has been said that Samsung is working on a CMOS camera sensor with a pretty large size of 1/1.7″ and a lens with wide f/1.4 aperture. Accordingly, the new Samsung’s sensor will be able to could be create pics with quality ranging from 18 to 24 megapixels. Wow, that’s impressive news to note! Besides, such a large camera sensor can help get more “light information” and then give us “more detailed and less noisy images.” 

In addition, it will perform better in the low-light conditions. Nonetheless, there is one small downside you need to note. Having a physically larger sensor means fitting somewhere “inside the already crammed up phones” can be difficult. Let’s see how Samsung will solve this problem.
