Speaking more specifically, there were an unofficial report saying Samsung is having an explosion with the pre-orders of the duo and about to create a new record. In fact, the devices are up for pre-order in 60 markets, and according to Eldar Murtazin, a tech journalist in Russia, 64% of those who booked phones in advance went for the Galaxy S7 edge, the bigger version with dual-curved display.

Anyhow, we’d better wait a bit more for the official announcement from Samsung regarding the pre-order number. But, from now till March 11, 2016, which is Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge release date, we predict the firm will get a very high number and, reportedly, make a total of 17.2 million units of S7 and S7 edge units by April easily.

Though we have known about the Galaxy A9 for a while now through different rumors and leaks, the release of it has confirmed to us official Samsung Galaxy A9 specs. According to that, this is the very first Samsung smartphone to feature such a huge display: 6 inch – to help maximize user’s experience when using the phone. The Galaxy A9 display resolution is 1920 x 1080 pixel, making sure to display the best image quality for your eye treat.

Though earlier rumor did hint that the Galaxy A9 would run on premium Snapdragon 620, the handset actually features a Snapdragon 652 chip set together with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. 1. OnePlus X

OnePlus X is the third product of OnePlus team this year. Unlike OnePlus 2, the X is kind of loved by more people. Spec-wise, it has a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display, a 2,525mAh battery and a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor. At first, those are already a good combination. Samsung Galaxy 2016: A5 and A7 look like flagship

According to Anzhuo.cn, which is also the page that posted many pictures of Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7, they are probably the second generations (or 2016 versions) of the original Galaxy A5 and A7 released in October, 2014 and January, 2015, respectively. However, we are not sure that the new phones would inherit their predecessors’ designs. Actually, they look like Samsung Galaxy S6 in terms of frame, home button and rear camera.

Looking at the pics, obviously the phones’ backs are made of not the same materials. While Galaxy A5 goes with a metal rear cover, Galaxy A7 chooses glass for its back. Apart from that, they both have similar big home physical buttons on the front surfaces and maybe fingerprint sensors are built in as well.

A mid-range and a higher-end phone to come in 2016

Previously, GFXBench once revealed the devices’ specifications. Accordingly, the A5 is coded as SM-A510 and said to be equipped with a 5.2-inch Full HD display and a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7 SoC chip paired with Mali-T720 GPU. Other Samsung Galaxy A5 specs will probably include 2GB of RAM, 16GB ROM (expandable) and a set of a 13MP rear plus a 5MP front camera. The whole handset will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS (we wonder why it is not the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow one).

As for the Samsung Galaxy A7 specs, there will be a quite different package of features. It is coded as SM-A710, purportedly coming with a 5.5-inch Full HD SAMOLED screen, a 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 SoC chipset, Adreno 405 GPU, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB ROM (expandable). Also, the camera combo can consist of a 13MP main and a 5MP secondary snapper.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip was released not long ago but we are afraid that it cannot be the only new and super powerful chip at the moment since Exynos 8890 (aka Exynos 8 Octa) chip which features Samsung custom CPU cores and advanced LTE has joined the race!

Pretty like Snapdragon 820, the Exynos 8890 is a chip built on a 14-nm process. It means the distance between the chip’s microscopic components is 14 nanometers, making the power consumption and heat generation lower. Besides, the Exynos 8890 comes with 64-bit octa-core design, 4 Cortex A53 chips (the power efficient ones) and 4 Samsung’s custom cores (providing necessary grunt for intense apps). It is also known as the very first chip of Samsung to sport designed custom cores. According to Samsung, their Exynos 8 Octa gives 30% more performance and 10% better efficiency if compared to its predecessors.

In terms of graphics, it is handled by Mali-T880, supporting 4K and improving the performance up to 40% when compared with the GPU of the Samsung Exynos 7420. Moreover, this new Samsung chip also integrates with LTE Cat. 12/13 and no doubt that it is the first high-end chip in the house to sport built-in LTE. As a result, any product boasting the processor will have greater performance, efficiency, cost, and design. Specially, the LTE Cat. 12 is said to be able to download things with speeds of up to 600Mbps.

We can easily notice that Exynos 8890 is created as a beast chip and definitely will be used for flagship smartphones. So, it is pretty sure that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 is going to be launched with Exynos 8890 in early 2016. However, some sources claimed the Galaxy S7 could have a variant equipped with the Snapdragon 820, which somehow will show us the differences between the two strongest and latest chipsets.

However, the back of J7 looks not really as cool as we expected since the design of the main snapper is not attractive.
