Zuk Z2 has just been launched in China. Even though being a scale-down version of the flagship Z2 Pro, this device is sill strong with Snapdragon 820, 4GB RAM…And it still comes with an affordable price. 

Lenovo Zuk Z2: powerful yet  affordable

After the Zuk Z1, Lenovo continued to bring another phone from this brand. However, it skipped the next phone which was supposed to be the Z2. Instead of that, the flagship Zuk Z2 Pro was presented. And now, they bring the skipped phone back- the Lenovo Zuk Z2. Of course, as its name, it is not as “pro” as its sibling. Yet the scale- down version of the Z2 Pro still a powerhouse with reasonable price. The Lenovo Zuk Z2 has just been launched in China.

Let’s check the Lenovo Zuk Z2 specs to see how powerful this lite version are. The Z2 has the same processor as its brother- Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. However, this Z2 packs a 4GB of RAM, lower than the Pro (6GB). Even though this RAM is lower, it’s still hefty. There is a 64GB of inbuilt storage which is non-expandable. For the photography, Lenovo added 8MP for the front-facing snapper and 13MP for the rear cam with f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens, and PDAF.

The phone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with the OEM’s own ZUI 2.0 on top. It features a 5-inch LTPS Full HD display with 2.5D curved glass. In terms of the Lenovo Zuk Z2 battery, it’s backed with 3500 mAh. This capability is supported with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 via the USB Type-C port. With this charge, you can fuel 80% the battery life in just 1 hour. Another option for the charging is A wireless charging pad. However, you have to buy it separately.

Lenovo Zuk Z2 price and release date

The Lenovo Zuk Z2 release date will be on 7th June. The Z2 will come with 2 colors: black and white. For now, this toned down variant just debuts in China. If you’re in Panda’s country, you can have yourself one. The Lenovo Zuk Z2 price is about RM 18500, or $274. If this phone follows the trend, it will be available in Idia soon. By the way, the Lenovo ZUK Z1 was just launched in India with the price of  RM 13,499 ~ $200.
